It’s
the middle of January and the weather in Fairbanks, Alaska is dipping
well into the minuses. With the chilly air, flurries and winds – you’re
probably thinking about hibernating inside until spring. So what can you
do to stay warm and escape the cold?
Here are our three favorite ways to get warm this winter:
-
Fire up the fireplace: Whether you have a gas or wood fireplace, both options are a great feature for the home. Not only does it work quickly to heat the room, but it also helps to create a cozy atmosphere. Sitting by the fireplace is great by yourself, with your significant other or the whole family.
-
Feel full of comfort: Comfort foods have a way of warming you on the coldest days. Stews, slow-cooked meats, soups, casseroles – there is so much to choose from! Whether you feel like taking an old family recipe or trying new recipe you found online, comfort foods will fill you up with warmth. Bask in the heat of a hot tub: Have you ever tried hot tubing in the winter? Basking in the heat of a hot tub while sitting outside is an invigorating experience! Plus it gives you a chance to enjoy the outdoors without getting frostbite. Arctic Home Living has five different hot tub brands to choose from and a variety of hot tub accessories.
